Our Appointment Process

We see patients on a scheduled appointment basis. Please call in advance so that we may reserve a time for you. We ask that you extend the same courtesy to us; if you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. We appreciate 24-hour notice when possible so that this time can be given to another patient. Even though we will accept patients in an emergency situation, we discourage walk-ins since this affects the patient flow and may cause delays in the appointment time.

Policy:

It's important that you understand our office's specific policy regarding cancelled or missed appointments. We charge a missed appointment fee (which is not covered by your insurance company):

  • $10.00 for regular visits if we are not informed 24 hours prior to the appointment and
  • $25.00 for Physical Exams or procedures if we are not notified 7 days prior to your scheduled appointment. In addition to avoiding unnecessary fees, notifying your provider's office within the appropriate time frame allows the office staff to offer the appointment to patients who need the doctor, but have been placed on the waiting list.

Dr. Prabaker is a provider under most health insurance plans, he also belongs to the Sharp Community Medical Group.
